My first stop of the day was La Paz Waterfall Gardens, near Poas Volcano. For $44 I got to tour the 70 acre park and have a buffet lunch. An aviary, butterfly garden, hummingbird garden, monkeys, reptile house, and frog exhibits start things out. 

La Paz Waterfalls Gardens is s a private park near Varablanca, Costa Rica. The popular Peace Lodge hotel shares the grounds.

The La Paz Waterfall Gardens buffet restaurant is near the center of these buildings, but I was unimpressed with the food and wouldn't do the lunch if visiting there again. It may be better for people with children, since the best selections were vegetarian pizza and hot dogs.
