school and youth organizations earn $10 for each parent that comes in and
test drives a new or used car. This program can be done any time of the

Muscular Dystrophy Association Olathe Ford actively supports the MDA, providing vehicles for use in the various MDA Overland Park area Jail & Bail events, and participating in the sale of Shamrocks to benefit MDA. From 1999 - 2002, Olathe Ford hosted portions of the the Kansas City Muscular Dystrophy Association's Labor Day Jerry Lewis Telethon and contributed $100 to MDA for each vehicle sold that week. To date, over $70,000 has been contributed to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Olathe Ford offers college scholarships to graduating seniors at area schools. In the past 10 years, Olathe Ford has awarded over $60,000 in scholarships to area students. We also fund $2,000 in scholarships at Midamerica Nazarene University. Eight of the scholarships are given to students from Blue Valley High School (Stilwell, Kansas), Blue Valley North High School (Overland Park, Kansas), Blue Valley Northwest High School (Overland Park, Kansas), Blue Valley West High School (Overland Park, Kansas) and Olathe North, Olathe East, Olathe Northwest and Olathe South High Schools in Olathe, Kansas. One $500 scholarship is awarded at each school. The scholarships are awarded on the basis of need, scholarship, leadership, community involvement and school involvement, with the selection made by a panel of teachers and administrators from each school. Contact the school counselor's office in February to apply. The ninth $500 college scholarship is awarded through the Gardner Chamber of Commerce to assist Gardner-Edgerton High School students who desire to further their education in the field of Business or Economics.
