View as we waited to be seated at Passions Beach Bar and Restaurant
Sunday continued
Our first real married meal together was at Passions Beach
Bar and Restaurant. Passions is part of the Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort.
Our table was set in the sand about 25 feet from the ocean. We arrived
at the restaurant just as the sun was setting. There were several couples
in line, already waiting for their tables and the sun was nearly down by
the time we were seated.
I had a seafood chowder and Dutch style mussels. Linda
had the Seven Seas Paradise which included lobster, shrimp, grouper and
Mahi-Mahi. Both were good, but neither were stand out dishes. This meal
was mostly about the lovely setting.
We weren't going to have dessert, but in honor of our
honeymoon they brought us a slice of extremely light cheesecake with a
sparkler on top.

Returning by taxi to our hotel, we walked through a few
of the nearby shops and found a small convenience store where we purchased
sodas, snacks and a bottle of the local Palmera Rum to enjoy in our room.
