After lunch, Fay dropped the rest of us off on
the Marginal Way, a winding 1 1/4 mile walking path along the shore
near Ogunquit. It was very scenic and I loved the waves and the rocks along
the way. Fay picked us up near the other end of the Way. We did what we
think was the most interesting half of the Way. The first part of what
later became the Marginal Way was purchased in 1925.
This web
cam is in Lobster Point Lighthouse on the Marginal Way. The
original structure was built (largely with donated labor) in 1948. It was
renovated in 1993 and reconstructed in 2009 to give "it a more authentic
lighthouse appearance."
This walk was one of the highlights of the trip for me.
Linda & I
The rock shore, south of Ogunquit
It was peaceful watching the waves wash up on the rocks and the water
drain back.

Next up was Nubble Lighthouse on an island, about
200 feet off Cape Neddick. This was another light which we couldn't actually
visit, but it is nicely laid out to view in front of a park. I would love
to return when the Island was snow covered!

We paid a visit to the Stonewall Kitchen York Company
Store. Stonewall Kitchen a cooking school and the manufacturer of many
jellies, salsas, sauces and other items. After sampling several items,
we got out with just a couple of purchases. The only items I remember,
was hot chocolate mix to take back as gifts for Linda's daughters.
