Fleetwood's on Front St. - Lahaina, Hawaii Friday - Day 8 (part 3) We freshened up back at the condo, before returning to Lahaina, to Fleetwood's on Front St. (owned by drummer Mick Fleetwood) where we had a 5:30PM reservation for a table on the rooftop. When we checked in a little before our reservation, they said they would text when our table was ready. We waited and waited. Finally we went up to the roof at 5:45 so we could hear the Sunset ceremony that was starting. When we explained why we came up, they said our table had been ready for some time and they had texted us. We came very close to losing our table because we never received their text. We were seated just as the Scottish Bagpiper began his performance, which consisted of telling stories, jokes and playing as the sun sets behind him.
We enjoyed mussels, Mahi Mahi, stuffed prawns and "Mai Tylers" (Mai Tais made with Smith & Cross Run, Velvet Falernum, Captain Morgan Black Spiced Rum, Orange Curaco, Pineapple Juice, Fleetwood's Lilikoi Foam). The black mussels steamed in local beer, coconut curry, cilantro, and chipotle oil with house made foccacia was my favorite part of the meal. They brought us a complimentary 4 layer chocolate cake with raspberry coulis, and whipped cream to apologize for the confusion at our arrival.
